Creative Paths

You may be asking: What, exactly, can Inlight Arts do for me? Common question! Glad you asked.

As a creative-consultant, Inlight Arts services address an array of our clients’ needs. In short: We value your success.

Explore the creative paths, below, to understand how we can help you. The names are changed in each of these examples – but these are real people and real solutions.

Maria: Author

Maria completed her first novel - and has secured a publishing contract! Congratulations! But the publisher does not assist with marketing - and Maria has no idea where to start. She is unfamiliar with digital media - and is fearful of how to create a website or social media pages. And giving talks about her book - no way! But she knows relationships with her readers is vital to the success of her book.

Inlight Can Help: Faith over fear, Maria.

After a consult, Maria asks Inlight to design a marketing campaign for her book launch. Inlight completes a detailed marketing plan, clearly defining and targeting Maria’s niche market. Inlight drafts PR releases, secures speaking opportunities, and coaches Maria on her presentation. We consult with her website developer and secure her digital presence – and even help her with blogs for her website, Amazon, and Goodreads pages.

Inlight can even assist authors with securing a book deal:  Good & True Media

Ralph: Restauranteur

Ralph has owned and operated La Cucina for over 15 years - but he's struggling.  Staff turnover is at an all-time high - and he could use additional funding to update his kitchen and decor.  He's also struggling to find his "voice" in his advertising - and starting to feel lost in the ad pages. So much competition - and he refuses to become a fast-food joint with frozen food served by scantily-clad service staff while pop music blares. But he's getting desperate.

Inlight Can Help: Be the light, Ralph.

After a consult (with espresso and pastries!), Ralph has Inlight help him draft a value-based mission plan – which reignites his passion to serve his community.

Inlight then assists with writing a strong, persuasive business plan – helping Ralph secure the traditional funding and SBA loan he needs to update his establishment. Inlight creates an effective marketing campaign – including website copy, advertising, and community service events to bring La Cucina back into the public eye.

Last, Inlight creates an effective employee manual and training program so Ralph attracts and retains an amazing team.

Patrick: Accountant

Patrick and his Catholic lawyer, insurance agent, and investment banking friends, struggle to be seen against the popular competition.  Patrick practices honestly - for over 20 years - and truly wants to help his clients. But how can he expand his practice and serve when he's up against DIY and AI platforms! He thinks the solution might be a website - which he has avoided because the last website developer Patrick hired "just didn't get it."

Inlight Can Help: The power of prayer, Patrick.

After a consult, Inlight helps Patrick amend his business plan and mission statement – which allows for clear branding and the defining a Patrick’s market.

Armed with clear direction, Inlight helps Patrick hire a talented website developer, launch a digital presence, and understand the digital world. They even help him identity his “key words” – he’s learning every day! And Inlight is giving Patrick the confidence to navigate the digital world.

Inlight also coaches Patrick through public presentations and information events – so Patrick attracts new clients who appreciate his experience and integrity.

Josephine: Fine Artist

Josephine's friends keep telling her: "You have to get out there and share your work!" But Josephine doesn't know how... She enters local contests - and some regional competitions - but most of her work is in storage. Or she just gifts it away. Seems like locals want pop art from the local home improvement store - not fine art.  Some days...she doesn't even go into her studio. A lifetime dream seems lost.

Inlight Can Help: A voice crying out, Josephine.

Inlight experts consult with Josephine and define her path as an artist: She truly wants to be known and to sell her work.

With that clear vision, Inlight helps Josephine drat business and marketing plans, launch an effective website and social media platforms – and even help her turn her work into digital formats appropriate for printing and posting! Her new platform allows her to create an online store and sell both prints – and originals.

Importantly, Inlight helps Josephine reach the art buyers who appreciate Josephine’s work. And now her storage room is empty!

Linda: Musician

Linda is a music teacher and musical director at her church - and she loves those roles. But, her calling is to be a songwriter and performer. Her band, The Light, has done a gig here and there - but, lately, inspiration is lacking. Last week, an agent approached her and would like the band to consider a record contract and a tour. The band members were thrilled - but Linda panicked.  How can she give up the security of her life for the expanse of an impossible dream?

Inlight Can Help: Answer the call, Linda.

Surprising how scary it can be when God answers a prayer! Inlight meets with the band and coaches them through fear and resistance – helping them secure an experienced attorney so they understand their contract.

Next, Inlight works with the band to create promotional articles and public relations releases. They assist with securing copyrights for all the band’s songs – and even help evaluate song titles and album art – and wardrobe –  so every word and image is on-brand.

Inlight assists with website development and social media – being a guardian angel the band needs to oversee each step the agent takes. Inlight also coaches Linda through her career transition, helping her discern her highest calling.

John: Contractor

John, currently a union carpenter, spent his summers as a laborer for his grandfather's home improvement company - and he always loved working with his hands. Lately, he's had more people than ever asking for his help with this-or-that project, and he's considering becoming a full-time contractor. His wife of ten years is hesitant: Will they be able to pay the bills? Honestly, John knows zero about running a business. Where to even start? His family relies on his salary - he just doesn't know enough to take the leap.  But his pastor called this morning asking if John can repair the foyer floor...

Inlight Can Help: Say yes, John.

After a consult – with both John and his wife – Inlight helps the couple design a business and marketing plan allowing John to transition from his salaried job into entrepreneurship. Inlight helps him brand and name his company – design a beautiful logo, launch a website – and even print shirts for him and his oldest son who is excited to help!

John accepts the work at his church – and Inlight helps him with promotion, retaining competent counsel (legal, insurance, and accounting), form his company – and create his bookkeeping system.

For each project, Inlight is there to help John with a photo shoot of his work – and with obtaining referrals and online feedback.Inlight also helps him draft contracts – including change orders and invoices – so after a year, he is able to run his business full-time.

Martha: Influencer

A psychology professor for over 25 years, Martha is called to share her knowledge and Catholic approach to mental health with the world. She recently wrote a book about wellness - and is being asked to (gulp) give speeches. Teaching college students is one thing - and writing a book allows her some anonymity. Sharing her personal insight and ideas to a live audience is intimidating. What does she wear? How long should she speak? What if they ask her questions????

Inlight Can Help: Choose the better part, Martha.

After a supportive consult – with tea and prayer – Inlight helps Martha design a marketing plan and training program to give her the confidence she needs to answer the call.

Martha contracts with Inlight to be “on call” – so when she is invited to speak, she has the support she needs. Inlight experts train her to handle even the most intimidating audience question!

Inlight also secures Martha podcast interviews, helps her transform her book into an audio book for Audible – and guides her wardrobe selection, obtains new headshots, and prepares a fresh on-message media kit.

Justine: Non-Profit Director

When her church decided to open a community support center, Justine, a retired public school teacher for the last 25 years, jumped at the chance to continue to help her community. When Father Peter appointed her as Director, she accepted and fear overcame her. How does she raise money? What is a grant? How does she manage volunteers - and all the reports and paperwork!

Inlight Can Help: Never unaided, Justine.

After a tour of the center and several consults, Inlight helps Justine create a development (fundraising) plan – which includes grant identification. Inlight writes the grant proposals and helps Justine track each grant.

Inlight designs a volunteer program and completes an onboarding program – including a policy manual, applications, and documentation. Inlight helps Justine integrate background checks and training programs.

Most importantly for Justine, Inlight’s guidance gives her confidence – and the ongoing support she needs to effectively help her community.
